In the news, the urgency of the maternal health crisis is accelerating responses from stakeholders — especially in regards to solutions for the underserved and Medicaid enrollees. There’s a big push from the White House to promote better care solutions for maternity populations, and corresponding initiatives from CMS and HRSA including new reimbursement codes and grant opportunities to specifically address issues facing Medicaid enrollees. However, the end of the public health emergency is widening coverage gaps, and state variations in reimbursement and reproductive health laws are complicating care delivery and access for some.
